The Churches of Frankston
One Church – Many Congregations!
We are passionate about “THE CHURCH” in our City and as Frankston Life Church we are eager to fulfil our role in the body of Christ and work closely with the many great churches in the city of Frankston.
We are a charter member of Frankston Ministers Network – a relational network of leaders from across the churches in our city.
We meet regularly with the Pastors and church leaders from across the city and pray for each of the churches in Frankston regularly.
The Road to the Cross
Good Friday in Frankston is FMN’s yearly Easter event that attracts well over 3000 people. It is held on the Frankston Foreshore and is a wonderful family day with lots of activities for children and their parents.
More than 40 actors perform the story of Easter at the Frankston foreshore in a special ‘mobile theatre’ event on Good Friday, called “The Road to the Cross”. The free performance rolls out at five different foreshore locations, beginning at the Frankston Pier, and includes an interactive children’s discovery walk.
Activities continue after the performance with live music, hot food and coffee, as well as free children’s entertainment that includes a jumping castle, petting zoo, face-painting and crafts. The event is part of Frankston’s traditional Good Friday Festival, which is hosted each year by the Churches of Frankston.
The family friendly event usually draws more than 3000 people to the Frankston Waterfront (Melway Ref 100A A9), and all are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring a Hot Cross bun to share as part of the festivities.
