Dear Potential Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in applying to become a volunteer at the 2023 Christmas Day Lunch, to be held as an indoor event at the Frankston Arts Centre.

At the end of this page you will find a link to an online Volunteers Application Form, but BEFORE COMPLETING THIS FORM, please read the following points carefully.

• The Volunteer Application Form can be used to register volunteer applications from an individual person – or – from a family where are up to 5 family members (aged 16 and over) are wanting to volunteer. Please provide names and contact details for each person.
• Children under 16 years are welcome to attend with their volunteering parent(s), but they cannot be given a volunteering role and must remain under the supervision of their parent(s) during the entire event. If you wish to bring children under 16 years to the event, please nominate at least one parent for a ‘Table Host’ role, so that your children can be supervised by that parent during the entire event.
• Volunteer Roles: The Application Form provides details of the various volunteer roles available. Please note that if you are volunteering for Children’s Entertainment, you must have a current WORKING WITH CHILDREN Card.
• Your Preferred Roles: Each applicant can nominate to work in a single role of their preference or can indicate a number of roles. We will do our best to accommodate your request for a preferred role, if nominated. If you are not sure then please choose Option ‘H’ and leave it up to us to place you according to our needs.
• Volunteer Applications will close when all volunteer roles are filled. Applicants will be selected on a first received basis, so send your applications as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

All successful applicants will be contacted within a few weeks of us receiving their application. They will be invited to attend a ‘Online Volunteer Orientation’. (They will be sent a link) to inform them of their allocated role at the Christmas Day Lunch – and to be fully briefed on important ‘Duty of Care’ procedures that ensure the safe and smooth running of the event. Further details of this meeting will be provided to successful applicants as we draw closer to the event.

It is a requirement that all volunteers watch the ‘Online Volunteer Orientation’ videos.

If your application is received too late, you will be notified and your details will be placed on a Stand-by List. People on this list may be contacted and offered a volunteer role if a late vacancy should arise.
